Plantation Dance Alliance (PDA) is the working name for a club starting at St. James Plantation to advocate for additional dancing opportunities across a variety of dance styles.

While in its infancy, Plantation Dance Alliance will piggy back on the Diceymemory website's dance pages.

PDA Mission


The Mission of the Plantation Dance Alliance is have fun through social, non-competitive dancing in a variety of different styles, such as line dancing, couple partner dancing, and social dancing.


PDA Goals


1 - Increase the number of people who see dancing as one of their hobbies
2 - Host, co-sponsor, or support dance parties 3-4 times per year


PDA Methods


1 - Inform people of dance lessons and workshops near St. James, NC
2 - Provide free access to curated instructional material
3 - Advocate for additional dance opportunities and floor space near St. James, NC


The Plantation Dance Alliance is initially focused on the following types of dances:
Line Dances, Partner Circle Dances, Sequence Dances, and Social Dances.
