The primary location for many dance opportunities in St. James is the Wright Event Center. Classes, workshops, dance parties, and charity events are held in this air-conditiond space. Formerly, this building was called the St. James Community Center. Note Southport-Supply Rd is also known as Highway 211. This facility has a large parking lot. The WEC does not require access to the gated St. James community. Rooms 1 and 2 have a wood floor. A portable dance floor can be installed in Meeting Rooms A and B.

Woodlands Park at St. James NC
The Woodlands Park outdoor facility has two primary areas. The first is a covered concrete-floored pavilion. The second area is the amphitheater on the pond. The crescent-shaped dance area in front of the amphitheater band stage is made of concrete pavers. Both areas have nice restrooms. One must have a gate pass to enter the St. James gated community
